1. What is the NavExcel Search Toolbar?
The NavExcel Search Toolbar is a toolbar that works with your Internet Explorer to enable you to search the web from anywhere on the web. You can enter any search term into the input field of the NavExcel Search Toolbar and access relevant search results from Yahoo! and other top search engines. Plus, the NavExcel Search Toolbar includes a Popup Blocker to stop unwanted popup and popunder advertisements.
The NavExcel Search Toolbar is conveniently installed on the same line as the Internet Explorer address bar in order to save you valuable browser window space.

2. How did I get the NavExcel Search Toolbar?
The NavExcel Search Toolbar is offered to users who download our distribution partners' freeware or shareware programs. The NavExcel Search Toolbar is downloaded only upon a computer user's explicit consent. If you believe that the NavExcel Search Toolbar was installed without your consent, please contact us at support@navexcel.com.

3. How can I hide or unhide the NavExcel Search Toolbar?
You can hide the NavExcel Search Toolbar by selecting the View > Toolbars within your Internet Explorer menu and unselecting (to hide) or select (to unhide) the NavExcel Search Toolbar.

4. How can I uninstall the NavExcel Search Toolbar?
The NavExcel Search Toolbar can be uninstalled very easily by following the instructions below:
a. Launch your Windows Start menu
b. Go you your 'Control Panel' within the 'Settings' menu
c. Select 'Add/Remove Programs'
d. Highlight 'NavExcel Search Toolbar' in the list of Currently installed programs.
e. Select 'Change/Remove'
f. Confirm the uninstallation request
Upon confirmation of the uninstallation request, the NavExcel Search Toolbar will be uninstalled. Note that some components of the program will be removed only after the next reboot of your computer.

5. Why am I prompted to hide other toolbars when I install the NavExcel Search Toolbar? How can I unhide another toolbar that has been hidden?
Because the NavExcel Search Toolbar is installed on the same line as your Internet Explorer's address bar to save you valuable browsing window space, we prompt our users upon installation whether they wish to hide any other toolbars that they have installed on their computers. Users always have the option to not automatically hide a toolbar that they have installed on their system.
You can unhide another toolbar by selecting View > Toolbars within your Internet Explorer menu, and selecting the toolbar that you wish to unhide.

6. Is the NavExcel Search Toolbar 'spyware' or 'adware'?
No. NavExcel respects the privacy of our users. The NavExcel Search Toolbar does not collect any personally identifiable information or data about your Internet usage or surfing patters. The NavExcel Search Toolbar also does not serve users popup or popunder advertisements of any kind.

7. What operating systems and browsers currently support the NavExcel Search Toolbar?
The NavExcel Search Toolbar is compatible with Windows 98, ME, 2000, NT, and XP and Microsoft Internet Explorer versions 5.5 and higher.

8. How do I know if a popup was blocked?
The Popup Blocker's counter (to the right of the Popup Blocker icon) will increase by the number of popups that were blocked on a webpage.

9. How can I disable (or re-enable) the Popup Blocker?
You can disable (and re-enable) the Popup Blocker by selecting the popup blocker button to the right of the NavExcel Search Toolbar's 'Go' button.
When the Popup Blocker is enabled, you will see this icon: 
When the Popup Blocker is disabled, you will see this icon: 
When you disable the Popup Blocker while you are viewing a page, the Popup Blocker will refresh the contents of the page that you are viewing to enable you to view any popups that were blocked on the page.

10. Why am I still seeing popups when the Popup Blocker is enabled?
There are some types of popups or popunder advertisements that almost no popup blocker can block, including those from adware programs such as Gator and WhenU. However, the Popup Blocker blocks nearly all major types of popups launched by directly from websites.

11. What if the Popup Blocker blocked a popup that I wanted to see?
You can disable the Popup Blocker by clicking on the Popup Blocker icon and then attempt to launch the popup again. Note that the page you are viewing will be automatically refreshed when you disable the Popup Blocker.

12. How can I reset the Popup Blocker count of blocked popups?
The counter is automatically reset when you close out of Internet Explorer and relaunch.

13. Why am I getting asked if I want to download an update to the NavExcel Search Toolbar?
Occasionally, we release updates to improve the functionality of the NavExcel Search Toolbar to better serve our users. When we prompt you to download an update, you always have the choice to decline any such updates by selecting the 'No, not right now' option.

14. Do you automatically update the NavExcel Search Toolbar? How can I get automatic updates to the toolbar?
Only when our users explicitly opt-in to enable the NavExcel Search Toolbar's Automatic Update feature does the toolbar automatically download and install updates.
To automatically receive updates to the NavExcel Search Toolbar, turn on the 'Automatic Update' feature within the 'Search' menu or select the 'Yes, I want this update. Always update automatically.' option when you are prompted for an update.

15. How can I check for an update of the NavExcel Search Toolbar?
Within the Search menu on the NavExcel Search Toolbar, select 'Check for Updates'. If there is an update to the toolbar available, you will be prompted to accept the update. Select either the 'Yes, I want this update. Always update automatically.' or 'Yes, I want this update. Always ask before updating.' options.
